You’ll stay in small-scale, welcoming accommodations where good food, a warm fire, and personal hospitality make you feel at home. The week offers a balanced mix of activity and rest: walk through snow-covered forests, join a gentle yoga session, try snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in the mountains, and glide through the wilderness on a husky sledding tour.

At the same time, there’s plenty of space to slow down. Read a book by the fire, play board games, relax in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars. This is a trip for anyone who wants to reset and settle into the soothing rhythm of winter.

Come together with your partner, your family, or a group of friends. We can tailor the package to your wishes, so you can make the most of your time together, surrounded by snow, silence, and the wonder of the Norwegian winter.

See below for the day-to-day schedule.

Day 1, Sunday - Arrival & Drive to Lillehammer

You’ll arrive at Oslo Gardermoen Airport and pick up your rental car. A 2.5-hour scenic drive brings you to Lillehammer, a charming city nestled between lakes and hills. Check in at the Classic Norway Aksjemøllen Hotel, a cozy and characterful place in the heart of town. You can choose to have dinner at the hotel restaurant or head out to explore the town center and find a local restaurant that looks good to you.

Day 2, Monday - From Lillehammer to the mountains

Start the day with a big breakfast buffet at the hotel. Take a little more time to stroll the cobblestone streets of Lillehammer, discover artisan boutiques, or sip coffee in one of Lillehammer’s beloved cafes.
In the afternoon, drive about 1.5 hours to Rognstad Mountain Stay. This snug guesthouse is your peaceful home for the next few days. Settle in, get comfortable, and enjoy a homemade soup with fresh bread for dinner.

Day 3, Tuesday - Let nature set your pace

Today is all about taking it easy. Begin the day with a gentle yoga and meditation session (no experience needed) followed by breakfast that will be served in the guesthouse. The rest of the day is up to you: Wander the autumn forests, read a book by the fireplace, or just relax. In the evening, gather for a special outdoor cooking experience, warm yourself by the fire as you help prepare and savor a Nordic-inspired dinner under the stars.

Day 4, Wednesday - Hiking or skiing in Jotunheimen National Park

Wake up to mountain silence and enjoy a hearty breakfast before packing your lunch for an unforgettable day in Jotunheimen National Park, the legendary “Home of the Giants.” Put on your snowshoes for a hike or glide through the landscape on cross-country skis. Whatever you choose, you’ll be surrounded by dramatic peaks and wide-open views. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and end the day with a relaxing soak in the wood-fired hot tub under the winter sky.

Day 5, Thursday - Adventure Day

After breakfast, it’s time for something exciting: a husky sledding tour through stunning winter landscapes. You’ll follow scenic trails with plenty of opportunities to pause for photos and breathe in the crisp mountain air. Dinner will be at another local spot nearby, a relaxed way to end an adventurous day.

Day 6, Friday - Drive toward Oslo

It’s time to slowly transition back to the real world. After breakfast, drive 3,5 hours south to Hurdalsjøen Hotell & Spa, nestled by a lake near Oslo. Check in and spend your afternoon and/or evening unwinding in the spa facilities. The hotel offers five types of saunas, both indoor and outdoor, including a floating sauna on the lake. End your day with a delicious dinner and take time to fully unwind on your final night in Norway.

Day 7, Saturday - Heading Home

After breakfast, make your way to Oslo Gardermoen Airport. As you return the keys of your rental car and prepare to travel home, take one last breath of the crisp Nordic air.
