Autumn Escape
to Norway
Spend a week in Norway this fall and enjoy a mix of calm, nature, and light adventure. This 7-day trip takes you from the lively town of Lillehammer to the peaceful mountains near Jotunheimen National Park. You'll stay in small-scale, welcoming places and enjoy good food, fresh air, and time to slow down.
Enjoy the Norwegian autumn at its finest.
The week offers a nice mix of activity and rest. You can go for forest walks, join a gentle yoga session, hike in the mountains, and ride a mountain bike. At the same time, there is plenty of space to slow down. Read a book by the fire, play board games, relax in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars (and if lucky, the Northern Lights), or just take the time to unwind in your own way. It is a balanced trip for anyone who wants to reset and ease into the rhythm of autumn.
Come together with your partner, your family, or some of your best friends! We can tailor the package to fit your group’s needs and wishes, so you can make the most of your time together.

(Sunday - Saturday)
Day 1, Sunday - Arrival & Drive to Lillehammer
You’ll arrive at Oslo Gardermoen Airport and pick up your rental car. A 2.5-hour scenic drive brings you to Lillehammer, a charming city nestled between lakes and hills. Check in at the Classic Norway Aksjemøllen Hotel, a cozy and characterful place in the heart of town. You can choose to have dinner at the hotel restaurant or head out to explore the town center and find a local restaurant that looks good to you.
Day 2, Monday - From Lillehammer to the mountains
Start the day with a big breakfast buffet at the hotel. Take a little more time to stroll the cobblestone streets of Lillehammer, discover artisan boutiques, or sip coffee in one of Lillehammer’s beloved cafes.
In the afternoon, drive about 1.5 hours to Rognstad Mountain Stay. This snug guesthouse is your peaceful home for the next few days. Settle in, get comfortable, and enjoy a homemade soup with fresh bread for dinner.
Day 3, Tuesday - Let nature set your pace
Today is all about taking it easy. Begin the day with a gentle yoga and meditation session (no experience needed) followed by breakfast that will be served in the guesthouse. The rest of the day is up to you: Wander the autumn forests, read a book by the fireplace, or just relax. In the evening, gather for a special outdoor cooking experience, warm yourself by the fire as you help prepare and savor a Nordic-inspired dinner under the stars.
Day 4, Wednesday - Hiking in Jotunheimen National Park
Wake to mountain silence and a hearty breakfast, then pack a lunch for an unforgettable day in Jotunheimen National Park, the legendary “Home of the Giants.” Choose between a single long hike or one or two shorter treks, all promising dramatic landscapes and breathtaking views. In the evening, you’ll eat at a local restaurant and end the day with a soak in the wood-fired hot tub.
Day 5, Thursday - Adventure Day
After breakfast, it’s time for something more active: a guided mountain bike tour through stunning autumn landscapes. You’ll follow scenic trails with plenty of opportunities to pause for photos and breathe in the crisp mountain air. Depending on availability, electric mountain bikes may be an option; otherwise, enjoy the challenge of powering the ride yourself. Dinner will be at another local spot nearby, a relaxed way to end an adventurous day.
Day 6, Friday - Drive toward Oslo
It’s time to slowly transition back to the real world. After breakfast, drive 3,5 hours south to Hurdalsjøen Hotell & Spa, nestled by a lake near Oslo. Check in and spend your afternoon and/or evening unwinding in the spa facilities. The hotel offers five types of saunas, both indoor and outdoor, including a floating sauna on the lake. End your day with a delicious dinner and take time to fully unwind on your final night in Norway.
Day 7, Saturday - Heading Home
After breakfast, make your way to Oslo Gardermoen Airport. As you return the keys of your rental car and prepare to travel home, take one last breath of the crisp Nordic air.
