Simple answer: It depends on the package your choose. Your stay at Rognstad Mountain Stay and a rental car is included in every travel package. The "winter explorer package" includes a husky tour and a guided snowshoe hike. The "winter adventurer package" includes the before mentioned and a guided ice canyon adventure. The "winter your way package" is completely tailor-made, and therefore you will decide yourself what activities will be included in the package. The maximum number of people that can stay with us, based on the capacity of Rognstad Mountain Stay, is 8 adults. However, through collaboration with neighbours we could easily organize trips for bigger groups as well, or split groups and book multiple accommodations. When booking, please let us know the size and composition of your travel group. You’ll always have the guesthouse entirely to yourselves, no guests from other travel groups will be staying there during your trip.

We recommend flying or taking the train to Oslo Gardermoen Airport. Upon arrival, a rental car will be ready for you to pick up and start your journey.If you prefer to travel with your own car, just let us know when booking. We’ll be happy to provide a tailored proposal that fits your travel plans.

Most activities can take place in a variety of weather conditions, and we’re used to adapting to the Norwegian elements. However, in case of extreme weather, we may adjust or reschedule for safety reasons, and always in consultation with you.

To confirm your booking, we ask for a deposit of 30% of the total price. The remaining amount is due no later than 30 days before your departure, unless stated otherwise in your booking confirmation. If you book the trip less than 30 days before departure, the full amount is payable at once.You can cancel your trip at any time, although cancellation fees may apply depending on when you cancel:More than 61 days before departure: 30% of the total price (deposit)Between 60 and 31 days: 50% of the total priceWithin 30 days before departure: 100% of the total price
